I started making thes bars many years ago from a recipe out of Christmas with Southern Livig 2001 my family loves them so much that they can’t stop themselves from eating them until they are almost sick. These bars were the Pastry Queen Project assignment for September 4 chosen by Beth at The Powered Plum. I am just a little late posting but we have been enjoying them all week. Mine came out a little oozy but I just drizzled the run out bits over the top . These bars are amazing! The crust reminds me of shortbread and the top is like the most wonderful pralines.
